Yoga positions help to strengthen our body and develop flexibility. All the positions that are practiced in yoga provide different kinds of benefits to all the organs of our body. There are some standing positions which are quite useful in improving your postures the standing poses provide strength to your legs and enhance the flexibility to your legs and your hips. These standing poses increase the mobility of your shoulders and neck, give flexibility to your pelvis and lower back. And there is mountain pose which is one of the best standing poses in yoga. There are some sitting poses which also provide flexibility to your hips, lower back, your spine, knees, ankle and groin which also strengthen your deep breathing and feeling of peace of mind. [1]

Forward and back bending yoga positions give relief 
Forward bending poses assist in stretching your lower back and hamstrings and of course, the tension in your back, neck, shoulders is released and provides flexibility to your spine. This gives sense of peace and calmness. The back-bending poses open up your chest, rib cage, and hips and strengthen your arms and shoulders. You should practice forward and back- bending poses simultaneously in order to keep balance in your body. There are some balance poses which are challenging and provide development to your muscle tone, coordination and agility. Twists also help release the tension from your spine and enhance your shoulder; hip mobility .Twists poses of yoga should always be done on both sides of your body to have balance and proper alignment.

Yoga positions or poses for supine

Supine poses are practiced on your back which strengthen your abdominal muscles, hips, groin and relieve tension of your spine and the extended seal pose is one the best poses of yoga. The inversions are the poses to strengthen your stamina which increase your circulation and reverse your normal flow of blood. The relaxation poses are practiced at the end of your yoga poses which calm your mind, body and feeling of complete relaxation is achieved.
